Biography
Camille Reifers is the Managing Partner of Reifers Holmes & Peters LLC, including all of its offices located in Tennessee, Illinois, and Missouri. A primary focus of her practice is civil defense litigation in high exposure matters. She has tried numerous jury cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. She has won defense verdicts for her clients in grade crossing, FELA, and third-party wrongful death claims involving substantial potential damages. As a result of her hard work, grit and skills she has become a go-to trial attorney for several major railroad companies in and around Memphis, Tennessee and throughout the Country. Two things she enjoys the most about her practice are: 1) putting on her steel toed boots and jeans to visit the workplace of her clients to dig into the facts and background of her cases and, 2) standing in front of a jury and arguing those cases. Camille is the complete package as a trial lawyer.
She has successfully defended her clients in toxic exposure cases, breach of contract, eminent domain, construction law disputes, whistleblower actions, employment law cases (Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, Equal Pay Act, etc.), as well as appellate matters before both state and federal courts. Camille has a strong record in obtaining dismissal or summary judgment for her clients prior to trial. She routinely negotiates settlements for her clients, including multi-million dollar negotiations.
Camille has served as a teacher numerous years at a trial college sponsored by the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel working to improve the trial skills of litigators from around the country. She has successfully achieved board certification as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA).
Camille is the mother of two very active sons. She effectively organizes her office and home lives to allow her to enjoy her sons’ activities. Camille is also an avid gardener. Camille and her family live in Mississippi and she makes the short commute to her Memphis office.
